2018 Catch up - December

In the effort to complete one task before starting the next one, I present to you a very brief catch up of December... in May!

To be completely honest, I've been putting off a blog update knowing that I still had December to finish before I could even think about 2019!

Luckily, due to a busy work month, I didn't actually have much time for art in December. Normally, I would see this as a downside, but as I'm trying to remember 5 months later, I'm going to call this a win!

I was so excited to completely sell out of my Christmas Cards by the second week in December, including the 3 sets I had left over from last year!

I'm going to order a few more this year, so that I have plenty of stock to sell, as well as actually having enough to send myself.

Previously, for close family, I've made a few hand drawn and personalised cards, but this time, it was going to be too tricky to try to find the time to do nice cards for everyone.

So, I illustrated my Christmas Wreath girl on my iPad and printed them out using my fancy new printer. Not technically hand painted, but at least hand drawn, hand printed and a special family-only design!

I do love using my iPad in the wintery months, it means I don't have to worry about squeezing everything in during daylight hours and means I can snuggle up on the sofa and carry on drawing while bundled up in blankets!

Unsurprisingly, the only other Christmassy illustration that I did in December was also on the iPad. Obviously December 2018 was a red beret kind of month!

So, that's it for 2018! I think I did quite a good job of covering each of the 12 months, even if my timekeeping was rather atrocious! Who knew 1 post a month would seem such a big ask?!

I think I'll adopt a slightly less structured approach for 2019... well, the 7 months that remain of 2019!
