2018 Catch up - April
Is there any better way to spend Easter weekend than in the wild hills of Snowdonia?
After months of planning, Easter weekend saw 14 of us wind our way up to Llanberis for my bestie's Hen Do. It had it all: wind, rain, sunshine and snow; walking, cycling, kayaking and flying over quarries; there were drinks, cakes, games and more cakes; and despite approaching it with some caution, it was pretty fantastic.
Wales is just beautiful and it was the perfect start to April.Unlike the previous few months, work in April was incredibly manageable, so I had a few more opportunities to get doodling.Spring hasn't really begun for me until I've watched one of my favourite movies - We bought a zoo. Something about the hope and beating the odds just gets me every time! I may even have the soundtrack, which I listen to if I ever feel a bit down...Also in my sketchbook this month, is a little bit of magic. Who doesn't want a swirling purple cloak and some magical twinkly stars?... and I carried this theme onto my new iPad!Seeing as I had my new toy, I focused a lot on my procreate art. It's going to take a very long time until it's anything like my traditional art, but it's always good to change it up a bit.Plus, once the nights start drawing in, I'll have no choice but to swap to digital art in the evenings! So that's pretty much it for April and I'll leave you with a photo of our adorable little degu, Meeko, having some snuggles and giving his cheeky little grin!
