Week 13 - Time to read and reflect

This week, two day trips to Manchester gave me the opportunity to reread a couple of classic childrens' stories, Tom's Midnight Garden and Wind in the Willows.

The train journeys were 4 hours each way so I had plenty of time with only books, my sketchbook and hill views for company! These stories are full of imagination and wonder, and their countryside settings were perfect for the cross country views out of the train window.During the journeys I also did a little sketching, one of which I shared on my facebook page, another of which I finished with watercolours this afternoon in the sunshine.

springtime

I was obviously daydreaming of sunny days with picnics on the grass!I also spent a lot of time thinking about what direction I would like my illustrations and blog to go. I started the blog to document my journey as I improve my art and illustrations and hopefully I am getting better at both sketching and with watercolours, but I would love to know what you think. Is there anything you would like to see more or less of? Is there a subject you think I should be covering? Do you want to hear more about my job, house, family or pets? Do you want to hear less about me but more about my inspirations?Whatever your view, please share it! (Although, please be kind!)
